What our Google Business Profile optimization services include
Everything that decides whether your listing shows up and gets the call: the right categories, a complete profile, photos and posts, a steady flow of reviews, clean listings elsewhere, and tracking so you can see the calls it produces.
Categories and services
The primary category that matches what you want to rank for, the right secondary categories, and a full services list in your customers’ words.
A complete profile
Description, hours (holidays included), attributes, service areas, opening date and booking links, all filled in and accurate.
Photos and posts
Real photos of your work, team and premises, and weekly posts that keep the listing current.
Reviews and replies
A simple way for customers to leave a review, and a reply to every one, good or bad.
Duplicates and listings
Duplicate profiles merged or removed, and your name, address and phone made identical across the main directories.
Tracking and AI call settings
Tracked website and call links, and Google’s AI calling settings checked so automated price and availability calls are handled the way you want.
How we optimize a Google Business Profile, step by step
We work in the same order every time: measure, fix the category, complete the profile, add proof, then track and adjust. Each step builds on the one before.
Audit and ranking grid
We check every field and run a grid of your area for your main searches, so we know exactly where you show up before changing anything.
Fix the categories
The primary category is the biggest single lever. We compare yours with the businesses ranking above you and correct it.
Complete every field
Services, description, hours, attributes and service areas filled in fully and accurately, in the words customers search with.
Add photos and start posting
Real photos and a weekly post schedule, so the listing looks active to customers and to Google.
Build reviews
A review request process your team will actually use, plus replies to every review.
Clean up listings
Duplicates removed and your details matched across the directories Google cross-checks.
Track and adjust monthly
A new ranking grid each month, compared with the first one, and calls and clicks from the profile reported alongside it.
Google Business Profile management services, month to month
Optimizing a profile once is not enough, because rankings slip when a listing goes quiet. Our management keeps it active every week and reports what it produced every month.
- Weekly posts about your services, offers and recent jobs
- A reply to every review, good or bad
- Hours updated for holidays, storms and seasonal changes
- Suggested edits from Google or the public checked and corrected
- New photos added as you send them
- A monthly ranking grid and a call report
Google Business Profile SEO: what actually moves map rankings
Google ranks map listings on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot move your address, so the work goes into relevance (categories, services, content) and prominence (reviews, links and mentions).
Our own research shows how much distance matters. In our study of 120 top-3 map spots in St. Petersburg, 58% of the winning listings were within a mile of the person searching, and none were more than three miles away. The median listing had 180 reviews, but 26% of top-3 spots went to listings with fewer than 50, usually close to the searcher.
That is why Google business SEO works best alongside the website: the profile wins the searches near you, and pages on your site reach further out. Our local SEO services combine both.
Before and after: what a ranking grid shows
A ranking grid checks your position from dozens of points across your area, so you can see where the listing wins and where it disappears. We run one before we start and every month after.

A new site plus Google Business Profile work. The calls are taps on the phone number in their Google listing, the same month a year apart.

Suspended? We handle Google Business Profile reinstatement
If your profile has been suspended, we find the guideline it broke, fix the cause, and file the reinstatement request with the evidence Google asks for. We quote after reviewing your case.
Common causes are a keyword-stuffed business name, an address that is a virtual office or mailbox, a service-area business showing its address, or several profiles for one location. Appealing without fixing the cause usually fails, and repeated failed appeals make the next one harder.
Read our guide to a suspended Google Business Profile for what to check first.
Start with a free Google Business Profile audit
The audit shows what is missing from your profile, how your categories compare with the businesses above you, and where you rank across your area. It is free and there is no obligation.
- A field-by-field profile review
- A category comparison with your top three competitors
- A ranking grid for your two most valuable searches
- Duplicate and listing consistency check
- A short list of fixes, in order
GBP management in Tampa Bay
We are based in St. Petersburg and manage profiles for businesses across Tampa, St. Pete and Clearwater, as well as contractors in other states.
Local knowledge matters for a profile: which neighborhood names people search by, how visitor seasons change opening hours and searches, and how quickly hours and posts need updating when a storm closes roads. We plan those updates ahead rather than reacting to them.
What Google Business Profile optimization costs
GBP optimization and management is part of our local SEO plans, at $300 to $600 a month. Reinstatement of a suspended profile is quoted separately after we review the case.
Google Business Profile questions
How long does Google Business Profile optimization take to work?
Category and profile fixes can move map rankings within a few weeks, because Google re-reads the profile quickly. Gains from reviews and listing cleanup build over two to three months. We show you the ranking grid each month so you can see the change across your area.
Do you need to own my Google Business Profile?
No. You stay the owner, and you add us as a manager. That gives us the access we need while keeping full control with you. If we ever stop working together, you remove us in one click.
Is Google Business Profile optimization a one-time job?
The first fixes are a one-time job, but rankings slip when a profile goes quiet: reviews stop, posts stop, hours go out of date and competitors keep improving. Most businesses keep the profile managed monthly once it is in good shape.
Can you guarantee a top-3 spot on Google Maps?
No one can honestly guarantee it, because distance from the searcher is outside anyone’s control. What we can show you is a ranking grid before and after, so you can see exactly how much of your area the listing wins.
Can you get my suspended profile reinstated?
In most cases, yes, once the cause is fixed. We review the suspension, correct what broke the guidelines, gather the evidence Google asks for and file the request. Profiles suspended for operating at a fake address are the hardest to recover.
