How we do it
Our core AI optimisation strategies
Five strategies, run together. Each one feeds the signals AI engines check before they quote a source or recommend a business.
-
01
GEO Generative Engine Optimisation
We write concise, factual answers of 40 to 70 words and structured FAQ blocks on your website, so AI engines can lift a clean answer and cite you as the authoritative source.
-
02
AGO AI Generation Optimisation
We build the brand authority that leads AI platforms to mention your business directly, as a top option, when someone asks for a recommendation in conversation.
-
03
NAP Data accuracy and NAP consistency
Your name, address and phone number kept identical across your Google Business Profile, Yelp, Apple Maps and directory networks. AI engines lean on these details for local confidence.
-
04
Schema Structured data and schema
LocalBusiness, FAQ and Product schema on your pages, so AI crawlers can parse your site and extract your details without guessing.
-
05
Reviews Review and sentiment building
A steady flow of genuine, positive reviews across third-party platforms. AI engines treat review volume and tone as a trust threshold before they recommend anyone.
Where your customers ask
17+ engines, one set of signals
AI answers now come from many places. Underneath, they read the same things: accurate business data, answers they can quote, schema and what other people say about you. Get those right and every engine benefits.

Behind the answer
How an AI answer picks a business
When someone asks for a local recommendation, the engine pulls from a few kinds of source and names the businesses those sources agree on.
Who's a good emergency plumber in St. Petersburg that's open now?
A few well-reviewed options near downtown St. Petersburg. Your Business Name offers emergency call-outs and explains its same-day service on its website1. Its address and hours match across Google, Yelp and Apple Maps2, and recent reviews mention quick response times3.
- 1
Your website's answers
Short, specific answer blocks and FAQ schema give the engine a sentence it can quote and a page it can cite.
- 2
Your listings
Matching name, address, phone and hours across Google, Yelp, Apple Maps and directories tell it you are real and where you are.
- 3
Reviews and mentions
What customers, local press and community sites say about you is the evidence it uses to decide you deserve a mention.
Writing for AI
Answers an AI can quote
Most websites bury their answers in marketing copy. Engines skip it. Here is the same page section, before and after.
✕ Hard to quote
At our company, we're passionate about delivering excellence. With a commitment to quality that's second to none, our team brings unmatched dedication to every project, big or small. Whatever your roofing needs, you can count on us to go above and beyond, because your satisfaction is what drives everything we do.

- No fact an engine could check
- Could be about any business, anywhere

What should I check before hiring a roofer?
Check three things before you sign. First, confirm the roofer holds a current state licence and carries liability and workers' compensation insurance. Second, ask who pulls the permit; it should be the contractor, not you. Third, get a written estimate that lists materials, tear-off, disposal and the warranty, so you can compare quotes line by line.
- The question is the heading
- The first sentence answers it
- Specific, checkable points
- Makes sense on its own, without the page
Our process
How we run it, month by month
- 1
Prompt audit
We ask the AI engines the questions your customers ask, in your area, and record who gets named and which sources they cite.
- 2
Fix the foundations
NAP corrections, your Google Business Profile, Apple Maps and Bing Places listings, and schema on your key pages.
- 3
Publish quotable answers
Answer blocks and FAQ sections for the questions that bring in work, written by people and checked for accuracy.
- 4
Build authority
Reviews, local mentions and links that give AI engines a reason to trust your business and name it.
- 5
Re-test every month
We rerun the same prompts each month and show you what changed: who gets named, and where you appear.

Ranking in AI, answered
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business?
No, and nobody honestly can. Each AI engine decides its own answers, and they change as the models and their sources update. What we can do is strengthen the signals those engines rely on: accurate listings, answers they can quote, schema, reviews and mentions from trusted sites. Then we measure, every month, whether your business is being named for the questions that matter to you.
How is this different from regular SEO?
Regular SEO aims to rank a page in a list of links. Ranking in AI aims to get your business named or quoted inside the answer itself. The groundwork overlaps, since many AI engines read search indexes, but AI answers reward short, self-contained facts, consistent business data across many platforms, and evidence from third parties such as reviews and local press. We treat it as an extension of good SEO, not a replacement.
How long before AI engines start mentioning my business?
It depends on the engine. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode draw on Google's own index, so changes can show once Google recrawls your pages. Engines that search the web live, such as Perplexity and ChatGPT with search, can pick up new pages and listings fairly quickly. Answers that come from a model's training data only change when that model is retrained. We track all three kinds separately so you can see which is moving.
What is a 40 to 70 word answer?
It is a short paragraph that answers one question completely, in plain language, with specific facts. It sits under a heading phrased as the question. That length is long enough to be useful and short enough for an AI engine to quote whole, without needing the rest of the page for context. We add these to your service pages and FAQ sections for the questions your customers actually ask.
Which AI engines do you track?
We test the questions your customers ask in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Bing, Meta AI, Grok and Apple Siri, plus DeepSeek, Mistral Le Chat, Qwen, Kimi, Brave Search, Kagi and Poe where they matter for your market. The list changes as new engines gain users. Your monthly report shows each engine separately, so you can see where you are named and where you are missing.
Do I still need this if I already rank well on Google?
Probably, yes. A strong Google ranking helps, because several AI engines read Google or Bing results. But AI answers often name only a handful of businesses, and they weigh things a ranking does not, such as whether your details match across Yelp and Apple Maps and what reviewers say about you. Businesses that rank well can still be missing from AI answers, and the audit shows quickly whether that is happening to you.
Find out what AI says about your business
We will ask the AI engines the questions your customers ask, show you who gets named, and tell you what it would take to be one of them. Free, and no obligation.
